he was in at the decoy and you didn't see him? I hate when they sneak up with out a sound but so if it were me back here in NJ, I'd be happy just to see one. I have seen a couple of hens and some toms recently on other property, but nothing close to my hunting grounds. At least you all saw birds and had a fun morning. I'm going to try again this Saturday and will set the alarm for the dreadful 3:30am. Good luck.

well the turkey season was not totally unproductive. On Saturday I called in I think the only bird in my neighborhood, a hen. She came in silent and started clucking once she saw my hens. She came in right at 12 noon (we can only hunt til noon and shoot males). One more Saturday to go.
